"More Black & White From the Past" - Abstract Art

From The Past

final.jpg

Its been a week that I am back to work, even though I believe in – all work is a good work and at the end you learn something, But I am not enjoying working at my current place, because of my traveling time (spending 5 hours traveling every day) and also the atmosphere of the place which is very dull for a creative organization.
This leaves me tired at the end of the day, having no time for myself.
Also, I miss creating art and being here on Steemit.

But I am sure I will somehow find time for art and travel, it helps me relax. I had an unfinished artwork from the past which I found out recently from my pile, so I thought its the best time to finish it now. I usually work on something excitesxcite me and go with a flow wherever my thoughts take me, but with this painting, I was limited in thoughts and I just wanted to complete it. Though I enjoyed the process of making it thoroughly.
I am not sure why I started painting the skull, or what was the inspiration behind this...But it reminds me of heavy metal.

Now back to black and white…

The colors that I usually work with our monochromes in my paintings. I think this artwork has come out interesting due to its elements and the tonal colors and overall composition. I have used again the technique of liquid pouring which gives it a washed effect at some places and heavy textures at others. I love the wrinkly feel of it.

Here is some of the process:

And Its done!

I have been thinking about working on surreal art-form from last few days and have some inspiration to work with, I hope I can find some time in between of my work and implement them. I am really excited and love that I have so much to learn about how to incorporate it into my compositions.

I am sorry for not responding on your feedbacks and comments sooner due to work schedule, but believe me its the only thing that motivates me to be here on Steemit and keep painting.

I really appreciate all your love and support.

I hope you enjoyed reading my post and I am grateful for every Upvote, Resteem, and Comment. Until next time! 😍

You're very welcome !!! 😊

Strange and beautiful <3 Love the patterns and textures on this, and the step by step presentation is nice too :> The monochrome tone gives this a very gothic feel <3

hey, how are you doing today?
Thank you for your appreciating words.
I love working with monochromes...and so glad you can connect

have a headache right now, but other than that, doing well :>

how are you?

monochromes can be tricky to work with but i think you used the black and white well, with the themes, specially the skull ... it gives it a very wonderfully grim vibes <3

do you regularly have a headache or just today...I wish you get better soon.
I am good, making plans for my next trip...
Monochromes are difficult to work with , but i am getting comfortable with it slowly..

not regularly, maybe once a month or twice... but it is getting better now, i've taken a medicine for it :>

next trip ! so exciting! where are you going :D

i love your coloured pieces, but i will look forward also to your next monochromes :>

:) :)
for the next trip, not planning too far, just a weekend getaway.. still thinking
I was supposed to be in Kerela last whole week for one of the biggest festivals, but due to floods couldn't go, have spent already too much on the bookings, so don't want to spend much right now.
I love the colored ones but I am afraid using many colors... I mostly ruin it if i do..maybe next one I can experiment a bit.
do you also make art?

What a beautiful surrealist artwork! I really like all the three faces being put close together, and in the final version I could barely see the girl's face as she blended well with the other intricate patterns.

Beautiful!

Thank you so much😍

howdy there itravelarts! hey you gotta work to support your family so that comes before steemit but I so appreciate you wanting to spend more time here. Perhaps when the price of steem goes way up and the money starts flowing in maybe you can work on the outside just on a part time basis?
At any rate this art piece here is wild! I know you're not supposed to ask artists what it means but do you know what it means to you or was it just something that you felt like drawing?

I think I want to spend more time and my energy here on steemit and traveling rather than anywhere else, especially not in a place which leaves me exhausted and doesn't add a value...but yes for now I need to balance both...
Honestly I started this piece may be 7-8 months back, I don't remember much but it looks like I was very much inspired by heavy metals, and found this half sketched artwork only few days back in my pile, so just wanted to finish it. Thought I ain't a big fan of heavy metals.
What do you think about it 😀

what do I think about it? I think it's very skillfully done and very different, I think you could sell it especially easily to anyone into heavy metal!

I can spend a long time looking at it wondering what it means to you! lol.

what does your husband think? In fact, what does he think about steemit?

hahahah..no I didn't mean to get praises from you (though it feels nice to hear them), but I meant about what you thought could be the inspiration behind this...
My husband is here on steemit too...but haven't started posting yet...He takes his own sweet time to do things. being an IT guy not sure if he connects with art much but he appreciates my work..

howdy there itravelarts! oh I see what you meant. the inspiration behind it? I don't know because people express themselves differently but it can be the same image. skulls look like death but you don't seem very suicidal or despondent to me!

Oh your husband is on here too, did you have to convince him?

When I started, I was talking about steemit everyday and about all the amazing things here, he got interested and tried making his account but never received his code (on cellphone), so recently I made his account using my own.. But he hasn't yet made his introductory post.. Hopefully he will start soon. 😴

Wow, pretty strange! What was your thoughts when you drew it?

... and ouch, 5 hours travelling every day for work does not sound like fun at all..

Somehow I guess I was inspired by heavy metals..
Hahahha... No.. It doesn't sound fun.. I could use that time in many productive ways.. But such is life.. 😍

That is the point to life. Once we stop learning, there just isn't a reason I feel. Maybe that's wrong, but I try hard to learn something new each day. Even if it is just how to make some type of food. Just have to stay willing to learn.
