Happy Humpday lovely Steemit friends 💚

As this is our last week here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, we are trying to use the time to do some last sightseeing. Today we visited the famous Batu Caves, north of the city. I will definitely make a post about this amazing place soon for you guys.

But today I want to share a suuuuper delicious and easy vegan spread recipe with you. It is so hearty, full of flavors, filling and very healthy - I hope you’ll give it a try.

Prep time: 15 min
Portions: 8

Ingredients:

• 200 g green spelt (milled)
• 500 ml veggie stock
• 2 carrots
• 1 small onion
• 2-3 basil leaves
• nutritional yeast flakes and fresh pepper to taste

Instructions

• Heat up the veggie stock in a pot and let the spelt simmer for 5 minutes.
• Turn off the heat and let it soak for 10 more minutes, while preparing the other ingredients.
• Wash, peel and finely grate the carrot.
• Peel and dice the onion.
• Put everything together in a bowl and season with nutritional yeast flakes and fresh pepper.
