Precious celebrated her Twenty-Five birthday last month. We have been good friends since childhood but we separated after senior secondary school examinations.
It's been four years since we have seen each other. It was a really nice time together.
Precious was from a polygamous family and the first born of the family.
What do you call the first born? Breadwinner abi?
She has been wandering in the school of uncertainty believing that the future will come one day.
I asked her intermittently after I noticed she was confused. What is the future?
She said to me "future simply refer to the time ahead; those moments that we are yet to experienced" based on the dictionary.
She continues, the future may come in two years, in a few days or weeks but the future is yet to come.
Precious is a wordsmith. I interrupted her because I knew so much. We can spend hours.
I told her frankly, you don't have a future precious. She almost slapped me. Why? "How will you tell me I don't have a future".
I was silent for a moment and continued. Your definition for the future is good, but friend. Your future is now.
Dear, imagine the youths so called leader of tomorrow engaging in sexual immorality, cyber crime, kidnapping and others social vices.
What future do you think they have?
You can't fight against the truth but for Truth!
Future and time can be used interchangeably!
Time doesn't change anything but time is a revealer.
Revealer of reality! Don't sow the seed of laziness and expect a future anywhere.
Live your life as your future everyday.
Pay the price now!
Buy the knowledge and sell it not.
Deprived yourself from sin that easily besets you now.
Your future is now.

Procrastination they say it's a stealer of time, the more you wait to begin something the more it tends toward unused resources. You have shared an interesting piece, @ishayachris.
This is a bitter pill to swallow. I usually believe this saying before until I realised that the future is always here with us. Challenges will still come. Mistakes will still be made. There will be no perfect day. No happy ever after. The fruits of our labour are what we will be reaping and of course, this means that greater challenges waiting ahead too. Still, we will conquer.
