Greetings to the entire steem4nigeria Admins and moderators. It is a great privilege to be here to share my little quarter towards preventing the world from global warming.

It is no longer news that global warming is already here, and it is trying to find a place to remain in our world. As humans, we must try as much as possible to fight its existence if we truly want to enjoy our stay in this world.

Some months ago, I have played a role in preventing the world 🌎 from global warming through the planting of trees around my surrounding. Today, I am here with something different. I know you will all love what I am doing in my locality.

Cleaning of drainage and fixing some bad roads that were affected by erosion

_{nature of the road before the work}

Over the months, we have faced road challenges in my locality due to the effect of erosion. The roads got so bad that vehicles hardly find it easy to pass through them. More to that, the drainages were blocked by sands, and I think that was what gave rise to the erosion.

I don't have a vehicle but I felt it won't be wrong to help my community by playing a role in finding a remedy to the bad road. As such, I took it upon myself to remove all the sands that blocked the drainage, and also to refill some potholes that were created by the erosion.

As you can see from the pictures, the roads were so bad, but after working on them, they got better. I was happy that some of my friends joined me in doing the work. And we were able to at least make the road better and accessible.

I so much believe that if we all can take it upon ourselves to help our host community in fixing things like this, our life will be better, and global warming will find its way out of our world. Let's do well to keep our drainages clean, and let's not also forget to plant trees.
