Why it's important to get a 6th cat when you're in the middle of moving and your whole existence is falling to pieces.

This is Luna

Actually, her full name is Teeny Weeny Tuna Luna.

The day after moving into this exquisite dumpster fire of an apartment, I was at the main office when this tiny little cat walked right up to me and demanded my attention.

Now, this poor little kitty was completely emaciated. Basically, a skeleton with some fur.
Apparently, some piece of shit asshole just dumped her off at the main office.
It was clear that this was already a domesticated cat and not a feral cat.
Feral cats know how to hunt and they don't come right up to humans screaming for help.

The apartment manager was outside as well and told me that tenants leave their cats and dogs there when they move out quite often.

Like....how do you get to that point in your existence where you just abandon a living creature who is depending on you and trusted you to take care of them?
I don't get it.

Well, anyway, I looked over at Shane who was still in the car and he said that the look on my face told him that we needed to save the lil kitty.

Anyone who knows me around here is aware of my current situation: moving, ball of stress, looking for a new job, daily nervous breakdowns ... so the absolute last thing I need right now is to add a 6th cat to this family.

We have been very lucky with the 5 cats we have all getting along. It's kinda rare to have that many cats of all different ages who love each other... because cats are weird little fuckers.

So, I thought we would just help this little kitty out for a few days and work on finding her a new home.

But, of course, that didn't happen because crazy cat lady ... so long story short... we have 6 cats.

Luna has her appointment on Monday to get fixed. The poor thing is pregnant on top of everything else.
We took her to the vet and the doc said the kittens would not survive anyway because she was in such poor health and emaciated and fucking starving to death.

Luna is still way too skinny, but she is slowly gaining weight.
She is slowly getting acclimated to her new environment.
She is enjoying "playing" or what cats actually like to call ... "murder".

And the other 5 cats are trying their best to accept the newest addition to the family.

Snibby is the most upset about it though.
