MY PLANS FOR THE NEW YEAR

The year 2022 has had a lot of ups and downs. I must say that I have experienced more than I have ever experienced. At the beginning of this year, I made a list of things that i wanted to have, goals to achieve, skills to learn and business ideas. I also made a budget list because there was a certain job I really hoped to get. But sadly, that opportunity passed me by. I wished and prayed for a lot of things this year, most of which I haven't seen yet. My vision for this year didn't turnout to be as I imagined it would, not because I didn't work towards my goals, but because I had so many distractions. Some unfavorable and unavoidable situations overwhelmed me and weighed me down. But I am now, more hopeful than I have ever been that 2023 will be much better because the signs are evident. For instance, I made plans to purchase a laptop by November but I didn't have sufficient funds. This week, I got a surprise laptop and a phone.

The year 2023 scares me even more because I have made much bigger plans. They seem unrealistic annd therefore, quite impossible to achieve.

My daughter Chantel, is 1 year and 7 months old. She is way smarter than her age and I do not want her to waste this gift at home. So I have decided that she is going to be going to school by September next year. Aside from the fact that she's very smart, one other reason why I really want to make sure she starts school by next year is that there are a lot of things I haven't been able to do. I have to look after her 24/7, so that means I can't go too far or get a better job uptown. I can't afford a nanny to look after her while I'm gone. So the best option I have is to send her to school.

Secondly, I am looking at moving into a new apartment. I have been in this apartment for just two years, but I really need to move out. The apartment is quite small and I really need more space. Secondly, I am not too comfortable with the kind of neighbors I have. They are not exactly the kind of people I want to have as neighbors. I love a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. A kind of neighborhood where I have rest and peace of mind.

The next plan I have for next year is to get married. This is one plan I have been postponing, but being single is not so easy especially with a child. Her mom has been helping out but I'd prefer if we really lived together as a legally married couple. We have prepared a budget and decided on the month, which is December. But we are not certain of the day yet.

Lastly, I cannot achieve all these plans if I continue to depend on paid jobs. So, I have also made plans to start-up a profitable business. Chantel's Mom has also decided to get a better job so she could also be of help. I have prepared some business plans already, eventhough I do not know which of the businesses to go into yet.
