Look Out
Black mountain is mostly made up of red and white sandstone except for the upper part which is solidified black lava rock. This photo was taken standing on a sheer cliff, part of the lower tier of the mountain and only a few hundred feet up. But what a view of the Verde Valley and just around the corner here the mountain drops off abruptly into the depths of the massive Sycamore Canyon.

Whoa. Cool colors and neat perspective. Looks like you are quite high up. I like this one a lot. It's quite different then a lot of your other photos.

Neat shot! That's quite a view... Looks like a good area to look for ancient ruins.
It's a great view and yes there's ruins very close by, cool place.
