Mirroring - B&W Photo Contest ~ Reflections

in #bwphotocontest7 years ago (edited)

What would you do when you see a "No Camera" sign at the entrance of a large office park? I put the camera in my messenger bag, entered the park, and cautiously proceeded to take photos. As there were security cameras everywhere, I thought that the security guys might come at any moment. Luckily, that didn't happen, and I was able to snap a few shots.

Mirroring - my first and only entry to this week's black and white contest hosted by @daveks.

Are you afraid of taking pictures in places where cameras are not allowed?

Great shot...glad you got it!

I'm usually oblivious to NO CAMERA signs...probably a good thing. I did have one occasion on the street in Sofia when I was trying to take a picture of a building that turned out to be the Turkish embassy and an intimidating armed guard informed me that I couldn't take pictures there. I said, "oh, really?" in a sweet, I had no idea type tone...as I snapped the picture. Good times!

It's a good thing indeed :) I wouldn't even think about pressing the shutter if an armed guard is heading towards me, haha. Do you live in Sofia? Thanks for your comment!

My camera doesn't make a sound when I take a picture so I figured I was safe. I must have it set on "spy mode." ;)

I live in California but am planning to be back in Sofia soon. I am meeting a friend and we are going to do a monster road trip touring BG.

This should be awesome, especially if it is during early autumn :)

You could be in big trouble... or you can change profession into spy 😉

I don't think it would have been that big, as they would have probably asked me to delete the photos :) However, becoming a spy sounds interesting!

Awesome looking shot, and good job on sneaking in your camera =)I'm curious as to what these offices contain now! I'm traveling to Italy soon and fully planning to sneak some pictures in every historical place and museum even if they do not allow it 😋

Thanks a lot @livewell! :) There are mainly outsourcing companies (call centers), IT companies and banks in the office park. Unless you have a huge DSLR-camera, it shouldn't be a problem to take pictures in these palces :) Which part of Italy are you planning on visiting?

Great entry! Never fear the NO CAMERA sign. Unless is the army who put up that sign :))

Haha 😁 thank you :)

I've never actually seen signs that say 'No Camera' ~ Maybe like @samanthajbarnes, I'm simply oblivious to them.

So pleased you took the risk, and voila. Such a striking image, they would be proud of ~ If you ever wanted to show them, that is.

Haha, thank you, Ally! 😁
