Reusable Launch System: Boosting Rocket Technology
A reusable launch launch system is a launch system that has advantage to reuse it's all or part of it component.
1. Till the date no 100% reusable launch system has been created.
2. First remarkable RLV was space shuttle developed by NASA. It was intended to reduce the cost of access to lower earth orbital, but criticize as it is fail to achieve the goal.
3. SpaceX Falcon9 has reusable first stage and expandable second stage. Falcon 9 rocket is currently in use for NASA for Commercial Orbital Transportation Service and commercial satellite launches.
4. Blue Origin also introduce a RLV named as New Shepard. It has recoverable first and second stage but still in development.
5. On 23 May 2016, Indian space organisation ISRO successfully perform a test flight of a model of RLV.
Many government and private space agencies are running program for the development of RLV. It has advantage that it lowers the operation cost.
