Trying out Infrared Panoramas! lemme know what you think :)

in #pho7 years ago

This one was taken from the parking garage of the casino in cincinnati. Stitched together from 5 different infrared shots.

The next one was 3 shots taken at a winery/farm in Indiana. Was really trying to capture as much of those clouds as possible.

Very cartoony and video game-esque.

@irphotography did you get bored with simple hot/cold imagery?

I like Your creation, I was merely guessing you probably saw the boring grey, black, and red too often - since I can't upvote I'm sharing 👍

yeah, a lot of infrareds have a similar look to them. I've been trying to play with the colors without making them too ridiculous. Thanks for the share!

@irphotography I thought so, but true IR has revealed some important details too, however it would be hard to make it as visually appealing as old b&w photos ;)

yes, old black and whites are very very cool!

Are you using GIMP editing tools?

i used to, but now i use photoshop to white balance and channel swap

wicked! looks like video game worlds :D

I didn't even know that infrared photography was a thing. These look amazing.
