Playing pickle ball

in #cn7 days ago

In the early morning, I went out to play pickle ball with my husband. There were 24 players in the six courts and some were waiting. We put down our paddles on the waiting area to wait for our turn.

We are the only one playing single in the pickle ball court. We have played tennis many years, so we feel not much exercise and less fun playing double. For the last two years we played in this public court, couple old folks didn’t like it and told us to play double only, told us only allowed to play 15 minutes, or even came over to stop us playing because we played too long for one game. I could only tell them to read the rules posted on the fence. It didn’t say that had to play double, if people were waiting, limit to one game, we always follow the rules.

We encountered to an old guy today. He directly came to our court. He told me that we played too long, and we had to stop. This guy has been playing in this place much longer than us, and he knows the rules. I politely told him that we almost finished the game, only two points to go. My husband came over, and he raised his voice and asked him why he was holding our ball. He said we only allowed playing 15 minutes. My husband told him to city to change the rules. Other players around also asked to him to stop doing that.

Everywhere has such unreasonable people, but it depends how you deal with them. From my experience, it’s the best to use the city rules to against them, avoid fighting and no personal attacks.
