As I walked the hallway, I looked at you from afar, our eyes locked, you smiled at me and I smiled back.

The other day a little boy gave me red roses and pointed to you. I looked at you, our eyes locked, you smile at me and I smiled back.

Even when you paid for that ice- cream I got. I looked over my shoulder, our eyes locked, you smiled at me and I smiled back

Last week, the post man delivered your invitation to the Kings and Queens ball.
I thought you'd ask me to the ball but instead your friend did. I was disappointed to find you with a date but you looked at me, our eyes locked, you smiled at me and I smiled back.

When it was time for the Kings and Queens dance, we exchanged partners.
Now I'm with you in my arms, the music plays on and it feels like its just us two.
It felt so right in your arms and the way your hand held me felt like it was moulded for that purpose, to hold me.
And when I looked in your eyes, I was mesmerized. A thousand years could have dragged by and I still wouldn't have noticed as we waltzed perfectly to the rhythm of our hearts.

So close but still so far away are you but I'm waiting, waiting for you.
As we got lost in ourselves and our lips was almost colliding, your date walks up and taps you on the shoulder "I believe this is my spot" she said and you said "yes".
Right there I knew that I had no chance with you.

As I walked away, I looked back and caught you looking back at me, you smiled but this time I did not smile back.
