SEC13 WK2 “Life partners and their qualities”

When I decided to choose him as my life partner, it meant that I had accepted all the consequences that would occur in the future, especially since our age difference was 10 years. The age difference was the biggest challenge for me and for a newly married couple at that time.

Couples have their own strengths and weaknesses which should be used as strength to continue loving. I don't think that I should look at his small shortcomings while he has given many advantages during our 7 years together.

My wife is the figure who protects the family, we as workers leave simultaneously in different directions but have completed our respective responsibilities as a wife and as a husband towards our two children who are pre-school age and elementary school age.

I just want to see him continue like this, understand all the situations that occur and protect everything well, full of love and compassion. That is my dream for a life partner. Wealth is not a measure of happiness, but mutual love and understanding of each other is true happiness for me.

The age difference has provided an important lesson for me and for us as an age-gap couple to continue to see the potential for love between us so that we can continue to fill each other's shortcomings, respect each other, be open and share stories with each other.

I have never even had a strange orientation (in my opinion) by expecting a partner to meet certain categories and criteria because for me that is a trigger for conflict, indeed this happens without realizing it, but in fact, that is the root of the break in the thread of love in marriage.

What is seen is not necessarily true and what is true is not always seen, introductions are not always able to absorb each other's true character but by getting to know them through heart vibrations without criteria, that is the dream I have had all this time.

Since I first met him, my heart has been firm. Previously, I knew many girls with various work backgrounds and social statuses, I was even attracted to her as a final-semester student at Syiah Kuala University. What was pictured in my mind at that time? he was the anchor of my heart... That was all, and I approached him, went to his house and finally we were together in marriage after he graduated.

My current partner doesn't need to do anything, because we never make demands on each other so the feeling of love continues to grow and continues to blossom, we just understand each other and fill each other's roles with love, love and responsibility. That's what melts my heart.
