As an individual curation team that works every day, we can see that currently active posts in various communities continue to experience a significant decline, is it because of the influence of the price fluctuations of Steem and other cryptos that continue to decline?
I think this condition has an impact on active users and also has implications for the implementation of the contests that are held. In addition, if we observe in more detail several topics, the Teaching Team and Engagement Challenge also experience the same thing, the minimum number of participants who take part in engagement and other topics.
What will I do?
In response to this, I will try to make a breakthrough, by looking at interesting, easy and stimulating contest topics for users so that they are motivated to become part of the contestants.
Then add the number of prizes, previously the prizes I distributed were between 10 and 14 steem power, but increasing the number of prizes is hoped that will trigger the initiative of prospective contestants to join.
Another tip that can be done is to increase the contest period, from 1 week to 2 or 3 weeks. The weakness of this method is that posts that deserve booming support have entered/passed the payout period.
Related to this, it will be re-evaluated so that the contest published in the following week will be more interesting and followed by many prospective contestants

I think it is bad you search for 'easy to win' just to find participants. How about the fact it is a certain time of the year and people are more busy, on vacation or...
I learned that the amount of Steem doesn't make any difference if it comes to joining a contest. I tried it all out (25 steem to 1).
What does make a difference is... Engagement!
Look at my contest no one joined, not even you. If you have a closer look you see more did yesterday so what or better who made them join and leave a comment/opinion behind?
Another fact about your contesr is also that you forgot to pin it! Also I think the list with pinned posts is too long. Can we change that? Are contest resteemed? The blog is the first that shows.
A good idea might be if winners are announced in the comment section of the new contest to attract them.
Why I didn't participate? Because there's no streetfood where I live and since you made the statement there is you closed the door for me. And this is what many hosts do. I see it everywhere, there is no free choice if it comes to the answer. Why not ask: What comes to mind if you think of streetfood? In that case I could have joined as well.
It's the same for the contest about "childhood". If the host states this is the best time of your life and everyone had a great and worry free one it closes the door to many and those who joined keep up apoearances and lie.
The fact is most children grow up in warzones, with conflicts, fights, violence, in gangs, they are bullied, ignored, are wall flowers, live in fear... I thought about writing this but you know I am busy too and if it comes to it the tooic is the same as in any other community. It's a rehearsal of a rehearsal of a rehearsal ans it doesn't give us a better feeling because we are not allowed to share our opinion let alone say the truth.

I think another thing that discourages people is not having vote at all when they participate in contests, even though they may not win their posts should be voted because it can be very annoying and discouraging to spend time and data to make a post and end up paying out zero. That is major contributor to people not participating because I will rather l spend my time in what is gainful and rewarding than in unrewarded venture.
