OUR WAY

background_header1.jpg

Looking at the structural changes of the agricultural sector the last 30 years, I find it simply staggering that there are no governmental or private organizations that have been able to control the capital-driven industry of food – from the salmon sea farms in Norway killing off regular sea food, to the baby-spinach scandal in USA a few years ago, when they spent weeks trying to find that single farmer that had delivered spinach that was full of bacteria (due to the fact that his cows were gracing on the higher level of the river that split his farm).

Be allowing agricultural students and others to administer the 4 acre farms, under a common umbrella we are able to both expand the farms without any limitations and at the same time secure that the growth is controlled and eco-sustainable.

Working together with the governmental bodies and the local administration we will be able to not only deliver produce to the local communities but also ensure that an industry can be built around our products, being it strawberries or timber:

By transforming raw materials as close as possible to the areas they are produced, we lower the cost of transportation and increasing the value of the products shipped.

Incidentally, that also increases the revenue for our investors.

We intend to work closely with experts in the field of development in arid areas around the world, and will also pay close attention to preserving the present life forms in the areas we develop.

All we develop, and learn from will be shared in public forums for others to pick up and use.
Unlike the pharmaceutical industry, we believe in transparency for the common good.

It is also very important for us from the very start to invite professionals in all the sciences involved, from professor of climatology and with specialist knowledge on the Sahara conditions, expert on growing crops in the Kalahari or in the arid parts of Kenya and Australia – and companies like Yara that has developed products needed to make it all happen.

Our Board of Directors will probably have a majority of professors and a minority of representatives from the investors, to the benefit of both groups.

Another vital aspect of the approach is the information sharing.

Part of our goal is to make all the experience from field testing be made public for all the institutions that are interested.

Every arid area and desert has its “perks”- and has to be treated individually in the startup period.
