American Express Sees Bright Prospects For Ripple Due To Its Ability To Facilitate Speedy Cross-border Transactions

Carlos Carriedo, general manager of corporate payments at American Express, expressed optimism about Ripple's potential to transform the way payments are processed around the world at the Wings of Change Europe conference in Madrid a few days ago, Ethereumworldnews reported.
Carriedo told the audience:
"We did a test, partnering with Santander locally, and with Ripple to just do cross-border transactions. And in a matter of seconds, through this test, our clients were able to transfer funds in a very transparent and seamless way, from one part of the world to the other one."
Notwithstanding his view of Ripple's great potential, Carriedo stressed that there are still some areas requiring attention prior to large scale adoption of Ripple's technology.
