With all the FUD going on with government regulation and attempted taxation, the mainstream media outlets have been jumping on the downside in reporting. A lot of new investors who bought at high prices are sending the market lower and increasing perceived uncertainty. Hacking of centralized exchanges has also given rise to the blockchain powered decentralized exchange market. This solution will also showcase the utility of blockchain and DLT to remove third party governance in another iteration.

In a decentralized exchange, there is no third party that holds your money, you own your bitcoins until the moment you trade it. Centralized exchanges function as a bank would, they are a third-party middleman that holds your funds.

Yep, it's a really good time to be a buyer and a tough time to be a seller. I feel for those people who got roped in at the highs and are now seeing their hard-earned gambles getting crushed. Hopefully they're at least smart enough that they realize no loss in incurred until they sell.
And hopefully that weren't (insert adjective here) enough to buy on a credit card,hoping to make a quick flip.

Decentralize exchanges is the future, like it or not. Robinhood and Abra are an example. All the centralized exchanges will die.
@investing by building peer-to-peer marketplaces directly on the blockchain — Ethereum mostly — allowing traders to remain custodian of their funds. However, building a fully decentralized and efficient exchange remains today something of a utopia. Exchanges are centralized because it is the simplest way to proceed, and it is either too costly or technically complex to build fully decentralized platforms — for now, at least.
I agree we need to feel ud safe with our investment and decentralized exchanges can do it
