What is Driving for Dollars?
As a real estate investor, you will find one of the toughest parts of the business is finding deals. I am a real estate agent which helps, but I also find deals that are off-market. That means I look for houses that are not technically for sale, but the owner may want to get rid of them. One of the ways I find off-market properties is by driving for dollars.
What is driving for dollars?
Driving for dollars is simple. Drive around looking for houses that are in need of work or vacant. Once you find the house, find the owner and try to buy it from them. The easy part is driving around, the hard part is finding the owner and convincing them to sell you the house. Below I shot a quick video of me driving around looking for houses.
While you are looking for houses, you can also look for for sale by owner houses, and bandit signs from wholesalers. I also get a lot of deals from wholesalers in my area.
