Today I am going to share some pictures which I capture in London zoo.

Green Tree Monitor:

Varanus Prasinus is the scientific name of green tree monitor. They eat insects especially stick insects and crickets, eggs and small mammals.

Gidgee skink or Egernia Stokesii :

They are present on central southern Australia.
This is one of the interesting thing which I found there. Like many sociable Australians, this tiny skink lives in extended family groups. Unlike most Australians however, it hides in the tree holes and rock crevices when threatened, plugging the gap behind it with the aid of its broad, spiky tail. They eat spiders, termites, grasshoppers and plants.

Okapi:

Okapi johnstoni is the full scientific name of this animal. They lives in dense rainforest. They eat leaves, bark and fruits. Although hidden deep in the forest, okapis are still poached commercially leading to a fall in numbers.
They are shy and timid animals, first discovered in London by western zoologist in 1901.

Tortoise

A terrestrial animal lives on land. They walk very slowly. They survive over 152 of years but the longest survival discovered is 250 years. They belong to class Testudinidae in 1788. They eat Insects specifically worms and larvae of insects and plants.

Giraffe

They belong to Africa. They live in terrestrial land and largest/tallest among all animals. The interesting fact about them is that they drink water after many days and survive easily. They discovered in 1772. The height of male one is ranges between 500-600 cm while the female lies in between 460 cm.

First time I see an Okapi, it seems to me a super interesting animal, it has zebra legs. Sure you have some affiliation with the zebra.
