In the background, the economics are deteriorating and quickly

A case of look here and don't look there. Yes, the virus is a devastating issue, but the economic consequences are dire and growing by the day. I can only imagine all those people on furlough now, but many will not have a job once the economy reopens and their benefits will drop substantially. People are already consuming a lot less as their savings dry up.
