Lonely Crater Eruptions

A lone silhouette watches with trepidation as the sun sets over the volcanic crater of Mt Yasur on Tanna Island in Vanuatu.

Not sure if you have even seen a volcanic eruption up close. This is a close hand wide angle shot I took of an eruption taken from the creator rim of Mt Yasur . It is quite the unnerving experience as each of those blocks of magma is about the size of a refrigerator!

Imagine watching an explosion while experiencing an earthquake and listening to a sonic boom. Then as you stare numbly into space your trance is broken by the whistling noise of the magma falling from the sky with the hope it falls short of where you are standing.
