Celebrating 420 In More Ways Than One.
Celebrating 420 In More Ways Than One.
Yep, crossed the 420 mark. I was going to just do a milestone post for 500, but everyone does that, and I figured might as well make mine a little educational and worth the read. :-)
Do I ride the 420 Train? No, not currently! But I am a big advocate for people that make the choice to. It is a plant, plain and simple. Not some kind of pharmaceutical patented magic pill that can be produced for corporate profits. And cannabis has been shown to help people that have cancer and other health problems.
According to some pre-clinical studies, Cannabinoids have been shown to:
- Reduce the risk of colon cancer
- Damage or kill liver cancer cells
- Inhibit tumor growth
- Cause breast cancer cell death
Cannabis can also help with:
- Pain relief
- Nausea
- Anxiety
- Improve sleep
The problem lies with profits, and the government. Cannabis is still a schedule 1 drug, and thanks to people like Jeff Sessions, major research into cannabis and cures for disease will never see the light of day. They know it can help sick people, and yet the Justus Department, the FDA and the DEA gotta have their hands in the pie.
I have watched my mother die from cancer, with the doctors playing wack-a-cure with every kind of conventional treatment out there. Those years were brutal, so I know first hand the effects cancer can have on everyone. I think Jeff Sessions and his ilk, should roll a big fat blunt, and sit back and relax! Might do them some good and make them realize they are human too(that is debatable).
So it all comes down to profits. No profit equals no ease up in the laws, and no major research. But hey, it is okay for people to die when there are potential cures out there provided by nature, no biggie.
So I say, if you wanna spark up, go for it! It might just save your life.
So thank you to all who happen to be following me, I appreciate your time and patience!
And with that have a great day! I am gonna leave you some links just in case you might be curious.

Do you believe the stuff they are selling now is of the same nature as the old marijuana from back in the days? I have the bad feeling that they only legalized it now after they where able to genetically modify it.
I smoked some back in my wild years. Now I got a medical card and tried to smoke marijuana I got from a legal dispensary and COULD NOT SMOKE IT, because I cough violently, even if I mix it with tobacco. I am a heavy smoker, no problem with cigarettes, but this new stuff is impossible for me to get down. Makes me wonder...usually anything good is illegal..
Well that is a great question, and if I were to hazard a guess, probably not. But without testing the product they provide with independent research into what exactly is in their "brand", it is hard to say for sure. ;-) And yes, back in the day the 420 was great, no added extras, just the good stuff! And you are correct, usually anything good and beneficial to humanity is DEFINITELY illegal :-)
That's exactly my point. An since it is so hyped in the media right now, it makes me even more suspicious. Could be that there is something in the new Frankenstein Monsanto weed that is not so good as we think it is...
Ya never know. :-) If I were in the market, I would go old school LOL
As a lifelong grower, and disenfranchised business owner I can say “know your grower!” Just like our food we need to be connected to where it comes from. Quality organic growers are being put out of business. Street weed is likely safer than the mass produced crap in dispensaries. People who want quality safe cannabis need to support a local small farmer by buying his( or her) product.
What is the legal status for that? Excuse my ignorance, but I assumed I can only buy with my medical card in a dispensary. I don't want to go on the wrong side of the law. It's still a Federal Offense anyway...
Well, the only “legal” way to attempt this is with appointing a grower and or caregiver. In Oregon anyway. You can then pay them for their costs associated with producing your medicine. Who knows how much longer they will allow that even. They are tightening the noose every year.
