HardFork 19 - TOP 10 RESULTS -- Come see the NEW price changes for posts!
This is VERY INTERESTING how post $ values changed for 10 popular users. LOOK at the results!
Approximately 16 hours before the hard fork took effect, I went and took a BEFORE snapshot of some older posts. I chose posts that were about 2 to 5 days old that wouldn't yield many additional votes. Then after the hardfork 19 took effect, I took an AFTER snapshot of the same posts.
These are my own TOP 10 RESULTS that I chose to showcase the differences in potential payouts after Hardfork 19 took effect.

OVERALL I LIKE HARDFORK 19

It gives me this "feeling" that we had a tapeworm somewhere in the blockchain that was siphoning off rewards before HardFork 19 showed up. I have no idea what consensus everyone else has for the fork, but my initial reaction is.....

I AM REALLY HAPPY WITH HF19!!

Everyone is happy with HF19 because everyone is paid! For whales its tough times but then again they had a whole year to prepare for winter. Hope i make a fortune during this times!
I have a feeling that generally the whales will come out just fine as well. From what I had seen, I estimated a drop of 10-15% on some of the highest "whale"-type payout posts. But from some of the examples @intelliguy posted, it appears it may be even less then that (on average, of course). I think @kingscrown's post is probably on the opposite extreme (and almost an anomaly) with its 35% decrease in payout. Of course, we'll know better as more examples trickle in.
Hey @intelliguy I'm glad to see your happy about the changes with the hardfork. I definitely am happy and it seems most smaller fish are too. I was worried reading posts about HF19 leading up to the release as it seemed like it still wouldn't benefit the newcomers much. Sure doesn't seem that way, I think this will definitely help grow the community and gain new interest. Positive for me!
I am very excited as well, @intelliguy ,with my current voter reward. I have even written a blog post to that effect , https://steemit.com/steemit/@maryfavour/i-m-excited-that-my-voting-reward-has-increased-after-hardfork-19-now-i-can-give-fish-to-a-steemian-and-teach-him-how-to-fish . Before hf 19, my full power vote was worth about $0.16 , now it's worth about $5 , which is a wooping 300% and more increase. I think this hf 19 is clearly done to benefit the minnows and dolphins from your analysis, which I like very much. Thank you for sharing. Upvoted and resteemed your wonderful post.
That is an amazing gain. I think increases like yours will lead to posters producing better content to get followers instead of encouraging posters to just court a whale in hopes of getting one powerful votes.

One immediate change I noticed was that the rewards given when I vote, dramatically increased. Prior to the HF I would vote at 100% and the reward MIGHT be $.01. Today the first thing I voted on got a whopping $.14.
