UN(dis)TALENTED: Do Not Stereotype God!

To stereotype means to be widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.

Everyone under his or her own religion do make prayers to God with an expectation of getting answers to what they have requested from God. But in most cases, we as humans in our minds tend to design the way we want God attend to a particular request and this closes our minds to other ways of God.

You can't understand God and the way He decides to do His things. No matter the height one has gone spiritually, there is a limit to which each and every one us can know this God.

Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

We understand Him only in the part which we have seen him work.

In the bible, we were told of a Captain who had leprosy and He came to see a prophet and the prophet told him to go and deep himself in a particular dirty river so he can be healed. The captain became unhappy and this was the response

2 Kings 5:10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
5:11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.

But when he eventually obeyed he got healed of his leprosy.

It is the same issues we are having today. We make request from God but fail to keep our minds opened to any way God wants to handle our request. Don't stereotype God and what He can do. Keep an open mind to the ways of God and his acts.
