Turning the uni group into a battle field!| 5% for SL Charity.

Few days ago, I got an assignment prompt for one of my modules which is about the poetic traditions. We are asked to create an e-magazine based on the poetic traditions that were mentioned in the assignment prompt. But we all felt that something is off because things cannot be too good as they let us decide any of those topic in the assignment prompt. Something felt really off! So we decided to ask about it when we were having the lecturer.

So the right time came to inquire about the assignment and we ventured to ask whether we are free to choose any of the topics that were given in the prompt. As we all had already guessed things cannot be good as that because our lecturer answered “No. I have mentions eight poetic traditions with the intention of eight of you selecting one topic per each. So there won’t be any repetitions” And this was the cue of the commencement of the battle.

I knew my girls very well. There was no time to waste. So I desperately grabbed my phone and opened my uni whatsapp group to claim the poetic tradition in my heart which is Ancient Greek Poetry as I LOVE Greek mythologies. But all my speedy movements were in vain as two girls had already dropped their topic into the group and Ancient Greek poetry was taken by one of them. But I kinda guessed this situation as I knew that she was also interested in Greek literature, so I had a back up plan with him. So I quickly claimed my plan B which is Indian English poetry.

By this time, I guess the other five girls also got what was happening in the group as their phones kept vibrating and then was when the real battle began😂 Anyway all agreed at the end that first comes first served.

Our lecturer also found this really amusing as we talked about the selections of topic as we discussed about it not only in the group but also in the lec, so he also tried to tease as by saying “No no I didn’t mention that has to be the first come basis. You guys can argue or even fight and select the topic🤣 .”

Anyway we all had some fun in that fierce friendly battle which made as all forgot about the hardship of making an e-magazine for a moment!
