To get haunted....

Written by the Afghan- American writer, Khaled Hosseini’s, “The Kite Runner” lives up to his fame as one of the New York Times bestseller. It touches on sensitive topics as family, love and friendship which hold soft corners in every breathing soul. However, this novella can become the most haunting book that you have ever read as it touches the dangerously thin layer between love and betrayal.

Out of the every inter-personal relationship that the character conduct, the majority of them was deceived and betrayed by the person whom they trusted most in their entire life. The one who betrayed another gets betrayed by someone else too. The one was a victim of betrayal go ahead and betray another! Many characters have to meet with betrayal at least one point of their life. This doesn’t change even for our protagonist; Amir. What makes the novel more sentimental is how each of the found redemption from their betrayals and how their hardships were replaced by hope.

There are some novels which are not good for your heart, and this is obviously one of them as it plays with your emotions. The journey of reading this is an emotional rollercoaster where you bleed for the characters and cheer for them simultaneously. And this is why, this would become one of the most haunting books you have ever read. But if you asked, “which part of the book is gonna be in your memory for the longest?” and that, my friend, is in your hand. Select a good place, you will be heaven – select a heatbreaking scene, may god bless your soul!
