ONE DAY ONE HADITS
Wednesday, June 27, 2018/13 Shawwal 1439 H
From Ibn Mas'ud he said: "A man came to the Messenger of Allah and said:" O Messenger of Allah, what is the opinion of the Prophet concerning a man who loves a people, but never to meet the people? "Rasulullah said:" A man and his beloved .
[The hadith is the authentic hadith of Bukhari (# 6169) and Muslim (# 2640)]
The lesson contained in the hadith:
1- Loving a particular person, group or group can be divided into three types:
1- Ideological love and religious beliefs. Namely, loving or liking a particular person or group because of ideological factors and beliefs. For example, love of the ulama because of his obedience and devotion to the teachings of religion. Or, love for Karl Marx for liking his atheist ideology. So, love like this can bring him to gather with his beloved one in the afterlife. The love of the Apostles and scholars will be with the Apostles and the scholars in heaven. Whoever love Karl Marx will be with him in hell.
2- Love that causes a person to imitate and imitate the deeds of the person he loves. For example, people who love a pious or cleric and imitate their deeds, then he will go to heaven with the scholars. Whereas those who love fasiq or kafir people imitate their sinful deeds then he will be tortured as they are.
3- Earthly love. Loving fellow human beings because there are earthly inner bonds such as kinship, material gain, or other worldly causes. For example a Muslim child loves his infidel mother or Muslim child likes music that is sung non-muslim then it does not become the cause they will be gathered in the afterlife. So, love and joy that is worldly and does not affect the person to do good or bad then it will not result that the person is gathered with loved ones later in the afterlife. So, this third type of love does not enter the meaning of the above hadith.
2- Loving those who are obedient have got the reward, liking them and imitating their deeds will make us collected in heaven with them. Similarly, liking and imitating the disbelieving actions of disbelievers and fasiq will make us sin. The worldly pleasures but to certain limits that do not make us imitate the unlawful acts, then it is not included in the meaning of hadith above.
The theme of hadith relating to the Qur'an
- Making unlawful idols
يوم تقلب وجوههم في النار يقولون يا ليتنا أطعنا الله وأطعنا الرسولا وقالوا ربنا إنا أطعنا سادتنا وكبراءنا فأضلونا السبيلا
On the day when their faces are turned back in hell, they say: "It would be nice if we said to God and obey the Messenger. And they say: "O our Lord! We have obeyed our leaders and our great men, and they have led us astray from the way." Q. Al Ahzab: 66-67.
