It's My Bat, Man 🌀 Inphiknit Questions - 0001

in #moral-quandaries7 years ago (edited)

In a world without police, or at a place or level where they have no power...

If someone attacks you with a baseball bat, and you defend yourself and gain possession of the bat, which causes him to flee, does he have a right to re-claim the bat at a future time? Who does it belong to?

If it belongs to you now, and the attacker also used a car to bring him to you for the attack, can you confiscate the car too?

Really Really Best true line ever below

"In a world without police, or at a place or level where they have no power..."

I did not mean to say that it is true everywhere, but in my hypothetical example it is...

That's because you don't know Venezuela... Not baseball bats, but guns... Interesting point. Re-steemed.

Some of the stories sure sound horrifying. I can barely imagine.

Thanks, and you remind me to say, stay safe...

The old saying is: "possession is 9/10 of the law."

Sure today, but does he have a valid claim?!
