Full Steam Ahead - An Announcement.
It's been a while since I've been on Steemit. I feel like Steemit is really an incredible community: it has proved itself to be the pinnacle of communities during my time here. But not only that, it's also an interesting concept. Who would've thought that building a social network on top of a blockchain would prove to be this good?
I've been wanting to write this post for a while but I needed to get my priorities straight, and more importantly I needed to plan ahead. I needed to make fail-safes, a kind of plan B. Because, well, it is better to be safe than sorry. And you can never be too safe.
SO. I felt like this would be a good time to write my post. Let's begin.
I've been stuck in a dead-end job for quite a while now. I don't like it, it's boring. The only glue that has kept me stuck to this job is, you guessed it, money.
I can't say that I am hardly making both ends meet nor can I say that what I make is enough for me. It's good but not that good. Plus, I don't enjoy it. Ever since I discovered Steemit, I've felt like this is the thing that attracts good people, good content-creators. Like many others, I also tried my hand at it. Writing mostly articles and poems, I felt that this is not a bad way to work. Think about it. You get money, you get to tell a story, you get to debate current world affairs, you get to engage in discussions. You get to contribute to the community and the platform.
I think that the title and the above few paragraphs have given it away already: I am becoming part of the Full Steam Ahead group which means that I've finally decided to quit and start steeming-on full time. It is not without it's challenges, of course, but I am prepared to face them. Let's just say that I have different plans for different scenarios regarding how this decision plays out. But I am optimistic!

Welcome upvoted and followed.
Thanks :)
