Does The FLAT EARTH Question Indicate Societal Mental Health?

in #jre8 years ago (edited)

The shape of the world or flatness of the plane is not the present topic. The matter of their being a question in the first place IS the topic. What does it mean when millions of people are suddenly being asked to question the shape of the world?

Speaking for myself and based upon my own interactions with others who look into this topic, the fact that such a question is being posited by thinking persons means that there is a lack of faith in media, scientists, and government.

My question to all of you---no matter where you stand on the Spinning Ball Hypothesis: is this such a bad thing? Is it a bad thing that people have expressed not only a lack of faith in media, but open disdain for it?

Personally, I think that the more people see how their reality has been augmented by green screens and fake people (actors), the more they will come to resent it. Asking if the world is flat sums up this sentiment in its totality. It shifts the burden of proof on all the experts, reality interpreters, and spokesmouths to own up to their claims.

In times of universal deciet, such as the present, asking if the World is Flat is a revoutionary act.
