This is a really great service, particularly for anyone wanting to invest in crypto but without all the very hard work of searching out the best tokens, at the best prices, learning about the technical analysis, including white paper analysis and so much more. I expect that 2018 will bring increased market cap for the crypto market, but part of that is us making cryptocurrency more user friendly and this service does that!

With Iconomi, sign up is easy, without any stringent know-your-customer red tape, and according to their website, their investments have no contract terms, hidden fees and easy cash-out processes.

Who would use Iconomi?

New Crypto Investors:
I would strongly recommend this service to anyone you know who either cannot, or will not, take the time to learn cryptocurrency for themselves but who wants a piece of this space and these gains.

More Advanced Investors:
Alternatively, I would also recommend Iconomi for someone who perhaps understand exchanges, coin analysis, and more advanced trading systems, but who nevertheless wants a diversified portfolio with less management requirements. With Iconomi you can buy a diversified package of crypto with one click.

I do not currently use Iconomi, but I intend to buy some soon. I find managing my crypto portfolio very time consuming, and I hope a service like this could lessen that demand, freeing me up for more time on Steemit!

Conclusion:

I would not recommend someone who knows trading commit their entire portfolio to Iconomi, but for myself I am considering putting 5% to 10% of my total portfolio into this system. I also think it would be great for my wife who has far less knowledge or interest in learning about the 1300+ cryptos out there.

This platform is very interesting. I suspect they will thrive in 2018 and beyond because the growing number of investors in this space brings a large number of uninitiated who would likely appreciate a simplified diversification process such as what Iconomi provides.

As an aside, you can buy the Icon token, currently valued around $4.00 USD, and it helps run the Digital Asset Array (DAA), which are the funds users buy into. But also the coin, is a speculative investment, because if the platform thrives the coin will as well. The success of the platform will strengthen the coin for two reasons: first, the use of the coin to create and manage DAAs, but second, the Iconomi platform buys back the Iconomi tokens (ICN) at market value using platform profits and they burn them, making ICN a deflationary token. Not bad for a long term HODL me thinks...
