And after detection there could be fire extinguishing drones water bombing the shit out of them fires. 😘

I think they use that now. Anytime a fire isn't blazing so hot it would melt the equipment.
But you're right that this early detection would mean the surveillance drone could automatically call to a fire suppression drone that could go in before the humans are even called in.

Interesting use case as detection is key in these situations. My concern would be how they ensure they will not be used for other tasks that would invade the privacy of the population.

There has to be something we can do with technology to help prevent/minimise the damage of fires. Seems like tech entrepreneurs aren't interested in developing solutions for something I would think is quite lucrative.

I agree. It's surprising it is taking so long for us to make progress on such an important issue.

if it is with that function it would be very useful, it would help us to prevent and, to prevent the fire from spreading

I think it would be very useful, it would help us to be more secure

Hi @indigoocean

The idea with the drones is to have them always in orbit at a certain elevation, feeding early warning signs to fire professionals.

I've never heard about Fire Detection Drones. One thing I dont understand. With current technology, GSP, satellite etc -> do we really need drones to spot a large fire? Wouldn't scanning area by satellite be more efficient? Perhaps not cheaper, but efficient?

Interesting choice of topic. As always :)

I think the situation the drones would be used for is dense tree cover. That’s where these huge wildfires often start and go unnoticed until too late.

I wonder what do you do for living @indigoocean on daily basis

Your knowledge and interests are blowing my mind. Definetly you're one of my fav steemians so far.
