I guess its the function of the brain that can be changed, not the brain itself.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The way we think is the work or function of a brain basically.
Let's say, I'm now thinking of how to increase my steem power here on Steemit.
How does breathing helps my brain to function to its full potential so that I could increase my steem power?

I think the research is saying that it changes how the brain works, but other research (lots of it) has determined that how the brain is used changes the physical structure of the brain as well. You grow new neural pathways or have some atrophy, based on how you use your brain.

But in the case of increasing your success at anything, oxygenating your brain better would just make you smarter. That means it's more likely you'll think of something you'd previously overlooked.

How to oxygenate the brain, through breathing exercise?
Is there any ways to oxygenate aside from breathing?
Is oxygenation the only way to make our brain healthy?

Well there are lots of things good for your neurological system, of which the brain is a part. What you eat, exercise (which also results in deeper breathing), adequate sleep, and learning to reduce stress all help. Probably the most important thing for brain health is simply using it though! That's why it's so important that children be exposed to all sorts of different topics. Their brains are growing new pathways rapidly, and the more types of knowledge they have to integrate, the more diversity their neuro system CAN integrate.

Thanks for the wonderful response.
Can fasting also help?

Great read and makes sense when you actually think about it. Makes you consider the many possibilities we have yet to discover as part of our evolution!

Very true and probably one of the reasons why I'm really benefitting from meditation ( especially the type where the focus lies on breathing ).

I grew up with respiratory issues - having been born 7 weeks early as one of twins - and never really grew out of it. Meditation, as well as focusing on my breating makes me realize that I'm probably not breating properly most of the time.

Thanks for the reminder!

P.S. What happened to your internet break? ;>)

Good that you’re doing breathing meditations.

I’m only on semi-break. Scheduled a post per day for the week, then checking once or twice a day to upvote folks. Normally I manually post each day, curate for at least an hour, and reply to comments about 5 times a day (whenever I get an alert.)

that's true, it helps oxygenate the brain, people with anxiety problems recommend doing this type of exercise, it allows them to release stress and, take things with much calmer ...

that type of exercises helps you to oxygenate the brain, the breathing exercises, together with cardiovascular exercises are very important and, they release a great load of strees in people.
