Today, entire India is celebrating Deepawali festival. Deepawali is the main festival of today's five day festival of the festival. Today all the houses in India are decorated with clay lamps. Power is given to the lights more than light.

आज समूचा भारतवर्ष दीपावली त्योंहार मना रहा हैं। दीपोत्सव के पांच दिवसीय त्योंहार क्रम का आज मुख्य त्योंहार दीपावली हैं। आज भारतभर के सभी घरों को मिट्टी के बने दीपकों से सजाया जाता हैं। बिजली की रोशनी से ज्यादा महत्व दीपकों को दिया जाता हैं।
रंग बिरंगी रोशनी के साथ ही आज पटाके फोड़े जाते हैं, घरो में तरह तरह के व्यंजन बनाये जाते हैं। नए कपड़े पहनकर लोग रात्रि में बाहर की रोशनी को देखने के लिए जाते हैं। हर जाति धर्म के लोग बहुत ही उत्साह से इसे मनाते हैं।

इस त्योंहार का मुख्य भाग, भगवान गणपति व धन की अधिष्ठात्री देवी माँ लक्ष्मी जी व विद्या की अधिष्ठात्री देवी माँ सरस्वती की पूजा का विधान हैं। परिवार के सभी सदस्य मिल कर शुभ मुहूर्त में पूजा करते हैं। व्यापारी अपने प्रतिष्ठानों में लक्ष्मीजी की पूजा करते हैं।
इस दिन जीवन को उत्कृष्ट, उज्ज्वल, आध्यात्मिक रूप से सम्पन्न, आदि के संकल्प लेकर मानव व प्राणीमात्र की सेवा का संकल्प लिया जाता हैं।
