What am I missing with Creeping Ooze?
I've got a question for my fellow @SteemMonsters players:
Could someone please explain to me what the purpose of going from level 2 to level 3 is?
Also... is the downgrade on both health and speed really worth 1 x attack when going from level 3 to level 4?
What am I missing with this card? Seems like a hell of a lot of cards are going to be need to go from level 2 to level 4 and gain just 1 x attack (and lose 1 x health).
Please explain it to me if you understand what's happening, or drop me a comment and let me know if you're just as confused as I am.
P.S. I'm loving the idea of a 1 mana neutral card though... I can see it getting a lot of play in decks that are often 1 mana short of using up all available mana. I've played many games with 1 x mana left over before either because I didn't have enough time left to rebuild a deck to use up everything and/or it was literally better to go with the deck as is and leave 1 mana over.

Before level 4 ooze is not considered melee... this makes it a target for snipe... although the 1 melee damage is not much, this makes it immune to snipe, plus eligible for play in Melee only battles and +1 melee damage from other cards. Hope this helps

2 to 3 gains you one point of speed. Even without attack, speed is useful because it increased your chance of dodging an attack. 3 to 4 is giving you an attack so they have to penalize you something else or else it would be overpowered. (ie they are trying to be balanced)
Overall a pretty good card for only 1 mana.

Yeah, I get the need to drop health and/or speed for an increase in attack.. e.g. Lvl 8 - Lvl 9 seems fair.
But offering no real benefit (other than the extra bit of dodge like you mentioned) from lvl 2 - lvl 3 and then taking away both that benefit and another health point when going from 3 - 4 seems like a lot.
Would an increase in attack (before an increase in speed, with or without dropping health) from 2->3 not have been more useful (and still remain balanced)?
P.S. What I never thought of (and was raised in another post on WhaleShares) though is that Ooze does become (more) useful in red decks for example with an attack boost from the summoner.
FWIW: As a 1 mana "slot filler" I've already seen some use from this card in a battle or two. So it is great, yes! Just struggling to understand the "fairness" and number of cards that it requires to get from lvl2 -> lvl 4.
