Some thoughts about healthy diet

in #food8 years ago

Hi, guys!

For me the question of healthy diet really is a QUESTION. From one hand I have a natural ability to separate healthy from unhealthy, my body is more then rectilinearly in telling me what's good for it. But at the same time, from the other hand, I have a tendency of instant lack of time for cooking (plus not always I want to do that, everyday cooking obviously is not for me), and when this lack of time is too hard, and I'm too hungry (especially after work out) I can't happily eat even fast food and be happy with it.

So, in general my body knows what it needs, but in stress situations, when it suspects that probably there will never be any food any more I can eat everything. Well, not everything, but still something not healthy enough.

Also sometimes I have hard periods of disgust to food. For about two weeks I can't make myself to eat anything more complicated then buckwheat, without even salt. I don't know where the roots of the problem are, but sometimes it happens to me. I can't even look at food or smell it. Luckily it quickly passes by.

At the moment I work out a lot, so my diet has completely ruined. My time schedule changed a lot, and I really can't focus on fixing it back. Plus I don't know much about correct sports diet, have to find more information about it. Well, I know a few, but it really takes time and effort to get used to it.

On Monday I will be able to return back to the gym after getting my lips done, and I really hope that by that time I will already be well informed about what and how I will be eating to keep myself healthy and full of energy:)

I wish you all the best and will be happy if you'll support me with vote:)

Love, Inber

I know I have not clue about you! But from my experience just eat what you desire literally listen to you gut. In the recent years I have and feel so much better. Yes sometimes I eat a bar of chocolate or a packet of crips but now 90% of the time I eat and cook health.

So yer listen to yourself i'd say; only you know if what you are eating is right. Sometimes you might desire more green when iron is low or more sugar when energy is low. But I trust my body will tell me. All the best 💯🐒

That's exactly what I'm talking about when I say that my body is wise enough itself:)

And you are very right in my opinion! :) 💯🐒

I need to turn my diet around, I go through phases of managing this but have been shocking in recent times. My challenge is I work away for 2 to 3 nights every week.

I spend 3 nights in Amsterdam which poses the obvious challenges caused by staying in a hotel and working away on business. Lots of entertaining and team meals out. A bar and a good selection of food for breakfast.

I then spend a 2 nights in an AirB&B which means I don't have access to a kitchen for preparing meals.

I'm keen to improve my health as I approach 40 as I've spent many years abusing my body with eating and drinking rubbish. My dad died of a heart attack at the age of 58 and I'm keen to not follow that trend.
