Life Lesson: Failure is not the end
"Failure doesn't mean you are a failure... it just means you haven't succeeded yet." - Robert H. Schuller
I don't know why it is the case that when a person fails at an attempt, he feels as though he did something wrong. It's a guilt that's mixed with a bit of regret and perhaps shame.
I used to be like this; susceptible to such negative feelings toward a failed venture. That was until I discovered that a failed venture is just another way of life telling me that I tried to do something, but something went wrong. That if I keep searching, I will find what I'm looking for.
Persistence is key when you want to achieve. You can't afford to quit just because you don't feel good about failure. The joy of success outweighs whatever negativity you might get from failing a couple of times.
Look at it this way: If there were three wrong ways to do something and only one right way to do it, one failure puts the odds at two wrong ways left and one right one. Try again and you'll either fail and consequently make the odds better for yourself again, or just succeed at that attempt.
