THIRD WORLD PROBLEMS
She hesitatingly asked the shopkeeper “how much for the milk?”
Without batting an eyelash the shop owner said “20 Rupees, for half a liter.”
The old women looked at the money that she had clutched in her hand, counted it and then hesitatingly asked the shopkeeper.
“How much for a can of water?”
“20 Rupees for a can of 20 liters of water.”
The women gave a sly smile and said “Give me a can of water, at least the kids will not die of thirst. Take this” And she handed over all the money that she had.
The shopkeeper gave a sympathetic look at the old women. That was all that he could do.
