PAK-Afghan Border Fencing Project
PAK-Afghan border is know as Durand line. This international border has length about 2,430 Km.
2430 Km is very large border because of its side there is a free, unchecked and unregulated movement of people all along the 2430 Km.
Pakistan is spending RS 56 billion to secure the border.
After the 9/11 US forces came here in Afghanistan and bomb the Afghan areas and trible area of Pakistan, Due to this terror activities increase in both side of the border.
Since the start of this project there is a significant decline in a movement and terrorist attack inside Pakistan.
Pakistan will complete all the border fencing, Firstly fencing the most critical areas.
Surveillance technology is also installed along the border to prevent attacks.
Forts and watch tower are also build along the border
Total 750 forts are planned to be build along the border, inter-fort distance is 1.5 km-3 km. 92 fort construction is completed.
