A Morning Walk

I walk the dogs in the mornings. Sometimes it's early enough that it still feels early. Before 7:30 manages to still have that air about it, though that's not early for us anymore, really. But they air and the city still have that freshness to them.

I like walking. Funny.

I don't know why I think it's funny. Just... walking. I don't do as much as I'd like. We used to walk together just for the sake of walking. We've started to again, kind of, but then you say, "oh, we might as well take the dogs" and then it's not really just walking, going anywhere, it's a dog walk. Which is lovely, too, but not the same. A toddler does that to walks, too. But we're getting there, to that point where we can just walk for the sake of walking again, and I'm very glad of that.
