A father of a known druglord Kerwin Espinosa, city Mayor Espinosa from Leyte, Philippines was killed while in jail yesterday. How's that possible?
Unless it's one of the police force. But who benefits from his death? He made a sworn affidavit when he surrendered implicating a lot of government officials as drug protectors of his son, in his possession was a notebook with a list of all who were involved.
With President Duterte's war on drugs, the ramifications of his death when under the police' custody is a big blow to what is already a huge pressure and accusations of extra judicial killings since being in office. What's more, this is a setback to the ongoing investigations of drug protectors in the country.
Will his affidavit be enough? His druglord son can confirm and verify. At present, he is in police custody as well. Another dead man in the making?
