Trying Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurant for the first time

One of my office friends suggested this restaurant. I had very few experiences with Biriani before. He told me to go there if I wanted to try various types of very delicious Biriani.

Two weeks before I went to this restaurant after work to try it out this restaurant. There are a few locations around Colombo where this restaurant is located. I choose the one in Mount Lavinia because it was nearby my workplace.

I had a very warm welcome there. The waiter gave me the menu to choose from. Surprisingly, it was a very big book which consists of various kinds of food. As I told you before my main objective of that day was to try Biriyani. But my friend told me that the Naan is also really good there. I hope to try it in the coming days.

After going through the menu items, I choose boneless chicken biriyani and lime juice. There were different refreshment types. Since I’m not familiar with those names, I went with lime juice and it was really refreshing.

They served me my Biriyani meal with a pot. That's why they call it pot Biriyani. They gave me a plate with a banana leave on it. It was quite interesting. I should say that I really enjoyed it. The flavours are really good. The spices were awesome. This was the first time I had a real Biriyani experience in my opinion.

It cost me 2,000 lkr after tax. It was okay for me because it was a very tasty experience for me. I will try Naan really soon and let you guys know about that experience as well.
