Come to bur lancuk leweng!

Seputararan Laut Freshwater surrounded by hills turned out to save a number of amazing tourist attractions. One of them is Bur (peak) Lancuk Leweng in Asir-Asir Village, Lut Tawar Sub-district, Central Aceh, where the altitude to enjoy the blue of the lake or also the row of buildings in Takengon Town.

Bur Lancuk Leweng, originally only unproductive hills with customary land status and filled with bushes and weeds. Now, the hilltop has changed drastically through the hands of the village youths who tirelessly climb the summit to clean and fix the tourist area.

Now, Bur Lancuk Leweng began to be known as one of the new tourist attraction in the Gayo Highlands. Its location is at an altitude of 1,600 MDPL more, presenting the scenery of Takengondan City once used as a paragliding sports venue, flying through the air across the lake.

Peak Lancuk Leweng, a hill overgrown with weeds. Several stems of damar trees stand dashing on the cliffs of the hill. The highest peak of the hill, estimated at 1,600 meters from the sea surface. Based on the accounts of the elders in the area, Bur Lancuk Leweng has a number of meanings.

The name Bur means a mountain or a hill. While Lancuk is the highest peak and Leweng defined the slope. So it can be concluded, that Bur Lancuk Leweng has the highest peak meaning with a steep cliff slope.
