What Is Obesity?
Obesity may be defined as a condition in which an individual has accumulated an excessive amount of body fat in quantities which may be dangerous to the health. Unlike some other conditions which require a doctor's expertise in ascertaining them, Obesity can be diagnosed by anyone through the calculation of the Body Mass Index (BMI). To calculate the BMI, an individual's weigh is divided by the square of the individual's height.

Causes Of Obesity
Obesity is caused by the several factors, some of which include:

  • Lack of physical activity: In a world where everything is automated, a world where you can have food delivered to your doorstep, thereby not requiring to personally prepare meals or go on walks to a restaurant, Obesity is likely to increase. A world where you can simply call an Uber cab and be transported to the location of your choice, the level of exercise people engage in has greatly reduced. Several people do not have to do anything if they do not want to. Through laziness in this form, they start to gain weight and slowly become obese.

  • Excessive food intake : When you se some individuals eating, you'll plead to the universe for mercy. I know of a family that feeds their children like each day is the last on Earth. The amount of food consumed by them is alarming and needless to say, they are all FAAATT

  • Consumption of energy-dense meals : I don't know how some individuals do it but they can subsist on fast food till the end of the world. Pizza and chocolate is like oxygen for some individuals, they can't do without them. The consumption of food items such as this as well as other fast food have led to the development of diabetes in some individuals.
