Happy Easter
Today is the Orthodox Easter and families gather together to celebrate and eat a lot of food.
My family was no exception, so we went to my sister's house at Epivates , a village a little bit outside of Thessaloniki.
Here is some pics from the place that has amazing view and foodpics will follow.
After a walk by the beach you start to feel the hunger...
The food that tradition calls for is a whole lamp or in our case a small goat.
But for starters you will need some chops and sausages.
After three hours it is ready ...
Put somewhere that everybody can have access and enjoy.
And of course there is dessert.
Cream sweet was made by our mother . Chocolate one was made by mother-in-law. None in his right mind would choose , so I had both.
That was it . Kalo Pasxa as we say here in Greece...

Nice view, it is really a good moment gather with family. In my country there is few Orthodox or Eastern Catholic (by the way I follow Roman Catholic Church) but I can not find that community in my town. Really I want to know about tradition Orthodox or Eastern Catholic.
By The way that chocolate cake make me feel hungry, so I should go out from my room and search a snack... ha..ha.. :)

Happy easter!!! Thanks for the wonderful views, I love the sea and seascapes. Was the food deliciously tasty? I have never eaten a small goat. I did not even eat anything big)). And with dessert in your case, you really can not choose)))))).
The meal was awesome. We don't usually eat whole animals. Just once a year.

Honestly, it was a surprise to me that you celebrate the Christian Easter. And, as always, you amaze everyone with culinary masterpieces that immediately start to arouse appetite! Happy easter!
