This is the right time for me to take part in this SEC contest because next year 2024 in our country there will be elections for the president and vice president of the Republic of Indonesia.

What do you think about Elections in your country

This is a good question, for now in our country preparations are being held for the presidential election in 2024, I think the elections in our country are going very well and in an orderly manner according to the regulations in effect in the 1945 constitution.

I am very happy with elections in our country because there are many positive things that can be taken from elections, one of which is the loss of violent competition between certain factions/groups/parties because the election of leaders is directly elected jointly by all Indonesian people.

What do you think about the electoral system in your country?

The current electoral system in Indonesia is direct, public, free and secret. This principle was established from the New Order era in 1996. With this system, people can freely and voluntarily elect candidates for the legislature that they think are the best to become leaders without any coercion.

How is it done in your country?

The way to conduct elections in our country is by voting or offline elections by all Indonesian people for each registered member of the legislative candidate.

When participating in the election, we were given an envelope containing a photo of a candidate for the legislature or president and vice president, for example, there were 2 candidates or 2 photos in the envelope, we were required to choose one by making a small hole in the photo paper of the presidential and vice presidential candidates. the president we choose, then we put the letter directly into the ballot box provided by the election committee.

Is it transparent and fair in your country

Of course I do, elections in our country are always fair and transparent, after all the people have voted for a candidate for the legislature or president, for example, all the letters in the ballot box/envelope are immediately opened to the public in each region so that the people can see firsthand who is the presidential candidate who has the most votes in the area.

In the next 3 days, national TV broadcasts will again show the recap results of voting from all over Indonesia and at the same time they will announce which presidential candidate has the most elected votes. Then the inauguration was also shown on TV so that the entire process could be more transparent without deceiving the people.

Assume there's no fairness and effectiveness as far as elections are concerned, what solutions can you propose to ensure its being carried out the right way

So that all efforts in the election can run honestly and correctly, my suggestion is that all the voices of the people that have been collected are sent to the central election office offline, even though this looks more complicated and difficult, in my opinion this is the most effective and most honest way for us can find out who the elected legislative/presidential candidate is.

Because when it enters the online system a lot of fraud begins to occur, moreover there are professional hackers who take sides and support one particular camp/group/party, this will be very detrimental to all the people in that country.
