RESPECT AND HONOUR
Source
Respect is the admiration felt or shown for a person or thing that has good qualities or achievements. This is, to have regard for others because of their good qualities. It is also politeness or consideration arising from admiration or regard.
This is, the way and manner you address others because of their good behavior or qualities. It equally means to admire or have high opinion about somebody.
Honour has several meanings, but for the purpose of this study; it means to have respect for someone. That is to treat someone with high esteem.
Now there is a difference between both. While respect boils down to having regard for all men, honour on the other hand, may go further to render a favour, reward, award, offer or recommendations.
Although, we could respect all men, but most especially; honour is used in a sense where such respect goes with a gift, approval or recommendation. To honour someone means he has done something to merit it.
RESPECT
Dear, everybody is meant to be respected. We must all have respect for one another no matter our race or status in life. Be you white, black, rich, poor, literate, beautiful, ugly, old or young and what you have.
We have limited respect only to greetings, but it is more than that. The way and manner we relate to others will show whether we have respect for them. Even when you are in a better position than others; you should still treat them with respect. You should not snob at anyone, but regard their personality. No matter the status of anyone, you should not disregard anyone because of their condition. Do not treat others as inferior to you.
Indeed, God might have lifted You, but that does not give you the effrontery or right to treat others with levity. And to this, Moses began to say: Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man. Deuteronomy 1:17a.
Although, this illustration is in respect of judgment; that is on how issues are to be decided. Thus, it emphasized the need for equality. And by extension, it equally emphasizes our daily relationship with others.
We have said that we should respect all men, but the question now is that; to what extent should we respect others? Should we continue to respect others when they begin to display negative attitudes and qualities? Should we have regard for bad, wicked, fraudulent or mischievous people?
Well, by the definition of respect, which has to do with admiration or regards shown for a person with good qualities or behavior; it follows that we do not owe respect to those who possess or display bad behavior or qualities.

Thus, people who are bad, wicked, fraudulent and mischievous and what have you, are not entitled to our respect or regards. This may sound ridiculous but it is the fact. When we say that you do not own them respect or that they should not gain your respect: that does not make you rude, arrogant or insulting to them.
The high point is that you should not treat them with esteem or regard them as important because of their bad conduct. However, this does not stop you from relating with them as humans, because you must learn to be humane.
Furthermore, when it is congregational, Jesus admonishes church leaders to treat or regard everyone as equal, and most especially; there should not be disparity between the rich and the poor in the church.
And to this, he said: For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts. James 2:2-4

HONOUR
We are to honour one another and to this, Apostle Paul stated: Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love, in honour preferring one another. Romans 12:10
It means that we should seek towards honoring one another. We should give to others a sense of dignity and importance.
Apostle Peter also buttresses this fact when he said: Honour all men . Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.1 Peter 2:17
we should not forget to honour all those who are in authority. Thus, for any form of relationship, where one is superior to the other, there is bound to be honour from the inferior to the superior.
It is imperative to note that respect and honour is indispensable in cases where there exist a relationship whereby one is superior to the other. Even when the superior is bad, wicked or mischievous; the inferior is obligated to respect and honour such a one.
Thus, a child should not dishonour his or her parents on the ground that they are wicked; neither should a servant dishonour his or her boss on the ground that he or she is mischievous and evil. And we should not dishonour the government because they are fraudulent (Titus 3:1).
I agree with you.
We should all be treated fairly and respected irrespective of our background, skin colour or social status.
We are all equal in GOD's sight.
Equality makes the world peaceful and a better place.
