Rock music is a broad popular genre of music that originated in "rock and roll" in the United States in the early 1960s, and evolved into a variety of different styles in the 1970s and later, especially in Britain and in the United States. 1940s and 1950s rock and roll, a very interesting style on the Los Angeles-USA genre of blues and rhythm music, and from country music.

Rock music also attracts a number of other genres such as blues music and the influence of jazz music, other musical styles. Musically, rock is centered on an electric guitar, usually as part of a rock group with electric bass and drums and one or two more singers.
