8 useful things learned from Anime
Anime Lessons
This list is not representative for every anime ever created. Now I do realize there are quite some dark animes out there. Animes where everybody just dies and the only lesson to be learned is to trust no one. Or some straight up perverted ones. However, I don’t watch that many animes and I will focus on extracting mostly positive lessons.
Let’s get right to it.
You are the hero of your own story.
Meaning in your universe there is only person who can be the most powerful and that is you. You fundamentally change your future and there is no one to blame or anything that matters more than your ability. In the end you will be the ultimate champion of your story so make sure it is a good one people love to hear.
The magic pill hard work
If you have that dream, those big goals there are a couple things you absolutely need to do.
Work hard for it and give it all you got but also realize that there are no shortcuts to places worth going. Leading us to patience and perseverance. It will be harder than you ever thought possible, even lonely at times, but that fire in your belly should keep you going. Along the way you should be grateful and enjoy smaller wins.
Your duty
For the most part your success is your own responsibility as there won’t be a lot of people interested in you making it. So take charge of it and make what ever wish happen to prove everybody wrong and yourself right
Real friendship
However, you can always count on your friends. There will be a loyal group of people in your life coming along with you for an amazing journey. Those relationships will be built on mutual trust. The unspoken principle of risking one’s life for one another creates bonds that make water as thick as blood. Your circle of influence will help you along the way and you can always count on them for keeping their word. The same has to be true the other way around. Real close friends are almost as deeply connected as the own family. If one is lucky enough to still have one.
Appreciation and being grateful
You got to appreciate the little things as well as the time spent with the people around you. Be grateful for everybody willing to use their most precious asset on you. Uncertainty is omnipresent and the best way to deal with it is by having no regrets. You never know at which point somebody might not be with us anymore so make the most of the time with them and don’t waste it by arguing over stupid things.
Respect and kindness
Which leads us to this point. Treating everybody with respect and being an overall nice person go a long way. Since you are the hero of the story you generally profit from having good manners. Love and respect.
Know where to find help
Not knowing isn’t the end. As a matter of fact you simply won’t be able to grasp everything there is to know. Realize though that this does not present an obstacle as you can easily outsource a lot of different needs to either a reliable team or some connections you managed to build.
Brains and guts
Critical thinking and resisting temptations once in a while are quite useful. A lot of people will try to deceive you and lure into some apparently harmless activities. Trust your gut and use your brain and you should be fine. If you’re able to learn from mistakes without dying in life threatening situations that might also come in handy.
To conclude one has to say that there a quite a lot of things one can learn from animes and the underlying mindset.
I hope you enjoyed this little list. I know there are a lot more things one can learn from various other animes. Let me know in the comments what you learned. :D
If you’re interested in learning more one can also get a good overview of those strategic principles from studying great generals and the laws of power.
Stay positive and follow your goals!
