This 'world heritage' is situated at Bagerhat District and can easily be accessed from Khulna City. The compound is beautiful, filled with trees and flowers; very peaceful. The compound has a small museum which is currently under renovation, so access is temporarily restricted. Just behind the mosque, there is a wonderful lake. Seat for a while and relax.The compound had clean restrooms for both Male & Female.
Most importantly one can pray inside the mosque.Another 15th century mosque, 'Singair Mosque' is just at opposite side of the road. An interesting fact is that this mosque has 72 gumbad instead of 60 but it has 60 pillars inside!

this is the 15th century mosque, founded by a saint-General, named Khan Jahan Ali. the main attraction inside the mosque. also from outside, its look beautiful. there is a big pond behind the mosque. and also a museum , on right side passing the main gate. also there is another old mosque opposite side of the road. the whole place is so calm and wonderful.

The mosque is part of a complex of mosques which are all situated in Bagerhat. These mosques all date from the 15 th century. The Shait Gumbat mosque is a UN world heritage monument and it has more than 100 domes on the roof. If your ar elooking for a place of silence and contemplation you should spent some time here although you are maybe better advised to visit the other mosques especially for the silence and contemplation because there are much less visitors
